This new black comedy by Graham Linehan (“Father Ted”), based on the classic Ealing film of 1955, pits the sweet upright Mrs Wilberforce against a gang of criminal misfits who are planning the perfect heist.
Posing as amateur musicians, Professor Marcus and his gang rent a room in her house in order to finalise their plans. Once she becomes unwittingly involved in the crime, there seems to be only one outcome. Will Mrs. Wilberforce remain safe in her lopsided house or will she become the prey of desperate men?
Winner of the What’s On Stage Best New Comedy Award, this funny, warm-hearted play shows that sometimes innocence can triumph.
