Outline of Play

The action of the play takes places in various locations: a mining community near Barnsley, the pithead, parts of Lancashire, a hospital and the Royal Albert Hall, London.

Time: 1994 and later.

Grimley colliery is set to close.  It means job losses, a dying town and the end of its brass band.  This is the story of how a community fights back.
